BARNESVILLE, MD — SDV INTERNATIONAL rode for a cause together to support the 15th Annual Lymphoma Research Ride (Ride on!) in Barnesville, MD. The event celebrated the impact on lymphoma research in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area.
Thanks to SDV INTERNATIONAL and other dedicated teams, over $300,000 (and counting) was raised to help eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease.
Through the company’s history, SDV INTERNATIONAL has continued in its community support and outreach efforts by participating in, and donating to this vital and important cause. This year, SDV INTERNATIONAL CEO, Michael Perry, and our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Frederick Smith, joined the Research Ride in support of this annual fund-raising effort.
Dr. Smith has a long and distinguish career in medicine as a practicing Medical Oncologist in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. After completing his training at the Georgetown University, Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Center, he remained on full-time faculty, achieving the rank of tenured Associate Professor. During that time, Dr. Smith successfully applied for NIH-NCI government grants, published over 60 papers, and participated in collaborative clinical research with the French Cancer institute of INSERM. In practice, Dr. Smith has achieved many recognition awards; named annually in the Washingtonian Best Doctors surveys from the inception in 1987 and continues to contribute to and participate in clinical research trials.
Dr. Smith’s contribution to the community and to SDV INTERNATIONAL are vital in this “fast-changing” and highly technical, health care field today. SDV INTERNATIONAL is pleased and honored to have Dr. Smith on our team as we positively impact the health care industry now and into the future.
