ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA –SDV INTERNATIONAL completed its quarterly company-wide team-building contest to promote community engagement. Throughout its global workplaces, SDV INTERNATIONAL personnel participate in quarterly team building contests. The most recent contest invited participants to submit stories of extraordinary acts of kindness that the employee witnessed or performed. All stories were sanitized of personally identifiable information, and votes were cast for the stories that evoked the greatest emotional response based on the extraordinary acts of kindness described. The stories were diverse and uplifting. The contest was based on studies that show one’s focus on positive acts may lead to a higher tendency to perpetuate positive behavior patterns – a pattern that benefits SDV INTERNATIONAL teammates, customers and our communities. The winner of the contest works at one of SDV INTERNATIONAL’s client sites in Washington, DC.
